Chris is global co-head of McKinsey’s Private Capital Practice and leads the practice across EMEA. A senior partner based in London, he advises leading private capital investors, sovereign investors, and portfolio companies on the choices that determine performance in a more demanding investment environment: where to play, where alpha comes from, how to build stronger companies, and how to use capital, talent, data, and AI as enduring sources of advantage.
Chris has spent more than two decades at McKinsey working with investors and management teams across the investment life cycle, from strategy, diligence, and value-creation planning through transformation, portfolio acceleration, and exit. His work spans healthcare, life sciences, technology, business services, and other sectors, with a focus on growth, commercial excellence, performance improvement, operating model redesign, and digital and AI-enabled transformation.
Chris brings a cross-disciplinary lens to private capital. Before taking on his current role, he co-led McKinsey’s global Life Sciences Practice and previously led the firm’s digital and advanced analytics work across life sciences and healthcare. A physician and former surgeon by background, he also advises governments and public-sector leaders on life sciences, innovation, and national competitiveness.
