Bill leads McKinsey’s Charlotte office and is a leader within the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods Practices in the Americas. His client work has spanned both the retail and consumer-packaged-goods (CPG) sectors.

Within retail and CPG, Bill’s expertise lies in strategy, transformation, category management, and merchandising (including pricing, promotion, assortment, and vendor negotiations). He spends his time with clients promoting transformation that creates significant value, tailored for their unique starting point. Bill also has expertise harnessing data to drive insights-based performance improvement in everything from commercial execution (such as how and where to engage consumers) to operational improvement (such as store operations and the supply chain).

Outside of the office, Bill is involved with several not for profits and enjoys a variety of sports, as he is an avid fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Prior to his work at McKinsey, Bill was in corporate finance at a multinational information-technology company.
