Bob is the global managing partner of McKinsey & Company. In this role, he leads McKinsey’s efforts to deliver lasting, substantial performance improvements for clients while fostering a culture that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional people.
Bob sits on the boards of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Stanford University, the Rhodes Trust, the US–China Business Council, FCLTGlobal, the With Honor Advisory Board, and the International Advisory Council for the Economic Renewal of Ukraine. He is an active member of the Business Roundtable, the Business Council, the Asia Business Council, the International Advisory Council of Singapore’s Economic Development Board, the Tsinghua SEM Advisory Board, and the Partnership for San Francisco.
In recognition of his contributions to global leadership and international affairs, Bob was awarded the Foreign Policy Association Medal.
Bob is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar and played water polo. Bob’s hobbies include cycling, piloting small aircraft, and endurance sports of all types. He and his wife, Ashley, have three children.
