As a leader of McKinsey’s presence in Morocco and Africa, Mehdi helps public-, private-, and social-sector institutions navigate large-scale transformations. He is a leader in the People & Organizational Performance Practice, with deep expertise in strategy, organizational design, and talent management. Mehdi is passionate about supporting the development of African leaders and institutions to drive sustainable and inclusive growth across the continent.
With extensive experience serving clients across more than 20 countries in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, Mehdi advises on topics ranging from strategic planning and business-model innovation to operational excellence. Recent examples of his client work include:
- shaping and executing a decade-long corporate transformation for a global industrial leader, with a focus on industrial development and operations
- designing and delivering a growth plan to help a national retail leader double its revenue while maintaining profitability
- advising the CEO of a regional pharmaceutical company on its emergence as a leader in Middle East and Africa
- supporting a national government in sub-Saharan Africa with its economic and social development plan.
Outside of his client work, Mehdi is a member of the board of directors for Enactus Morocco and the Ali Zaoua Foundation. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
