Richard is a senior partner and the global leader of McKinsey’s Metals & Mining Practice. He works with senior leaders across the mining, materials, and industrial sectors to shape strategy and accelerate productivity, drawing on digital, analytics, and innovation to enable lasting impact. Over his 20+ years with McKinsey, Richard has advised companies worldwide from bases in New York, London, and Johannesburg, helping executives navigate transformation while unlocking growth and resilience.

Passionate about lean operations, innovation, and human-centered change, Richard brings a holistic perspective that combines hard performance improvement with organizational renewal.
