Rohit leads McKinsey’s supply chain, logistics and transportation work and is a core leader within the firm’s Logistics Practice. He helps logistics companies, distributors, and industrial clients to transform core operations through redesigning operating models, reworking processes, and leveraging digital and automation technologies. He advises clients on all aspects of operations, strategy, and M&A, helping them to improve productivity and plan for long-term growth.
Examples of Rohit’s recent work include the following:
- helping a US-based B2B distributor to transform its transportation and warehousing operations, unlocking a 12 percent uplift in EBITDA and improving frontline productivity, quality, and safety
- developing the long-term strategy for a tech-enabled last-mile logistics software provider, including a granular view of markets, competitors, and product features that require investment
- supporting a global parcel and logistics provider to redesign its operating model by reworking core operations to better leverage technology and streamlining handoffs across modes to boost operational efficiency
- providing M&A due diligence, integration, and synergy capture for two North American distributors, including assessment across procurement and supply chain, inbound/outbound logistics, and warehouse productivity
- developing an M&A blueprint for a US-based trucking provider looking to drive inorganic growth, leading to the identification of a target and subsequent acquisition across over-the-road, intermodal, drayage, and logistics services
- assisting an industrial distributor, with a network of 70 distribution centers, to design and build a supply chain digital twin to support scenario planning for future expansion.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Rohit spent several years at a global automated test-equipment manufacturer where he designed test systems for industrial clients across India, the Middle East, and the United States.
