Suhrid is a leader in McKinsey’s global Financial Services Practice. He advises financial institutions and regulators on issues related to strategy, operations, customer experience, digital, and analytics. He also oversees client strategy for banking in North America.
As the leader of McKinsey’s work on B2B customer experience in banking, Suhrid works with a range of institutions to enhance customer experience, top-line value, and efficiency. He has designed and led some of the most ambitious customer-centric transformations in banking. For example, he recently supported a Fortune 50 financial institution on a holistic, multiyear transformation that quadrupled the client’s customer-satisfaction score and resulted in more than $300 million in impact.
Suhrid formerly led the firm’s work on corporate business functions in banking. Over the years, he has helped dozens of clients build world-class support functions and improve general and administrative effectiveness in financial services, energy, and industrials, among other sectors. Suhrid also cofounded and continues to help lead McKinsey’s work in legal services globally. In this capacity, he helps law firms, corporate legal departments, and others in this sector around the world on a broad range of strategic, operational, and organizational issues.
Suhrid is a board member of the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research at Harvard University. A Jefferson Scholar, he also serves on the National Advisory Board of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation of the University of Virginia.
